Freelance Mechanical Piping Designer / Engineer (Inventor / Point Clouds) - Excellent Daily Rate Location: Waregem, Belgium Dutch speaking! We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Designer / Engineer to join our team on a short-term freelance basis for an industrial process installation project. The project involves the installation of equipment and systems for soybean processing, specifically focusing on hexane extraction systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Autodesk Inventor and Point Cloud technologies to support the integration of new systems into existing infrastructure. Difficulty finding candidates with both Inventor and point cloud experience. Limited availability of suitable freelancers in the local market. Tight project timelines requiring immediate support. The need for on-site collaboration within a large multidisciplinary team. The internal team’s current capacity is insufficient to meet the strict deadlines, and we require additional support to ensure timely project completion. Point Cloud Integration: Work with point cloud data (3D scan data) to integrate designs into existing environments. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the on-site engineering team to ensure seamless integration and consistency across designs. Point Clouds / 3D Scan Data (Essential) : Experience working with point cloud data for integrating designs into existing environments. Piping and Ducting Design (Essential) : Previous experience designing and modeling industrial piping and ducting systems. Project Stage Ongoing equipment dismantling and installation. By the end of the 6-month contract, we expect the candidate to have: Delivered high-quality, detailed piping and ducting designs that meet project specifications.
