Pearse Professionals are supporting a leading Private Equity fund to appoint an Interim Head of Finance & Controlling for a newly acquired business in Belgium.

This is a hands-on interim mandate for an experienced finance professional who thrives in post-acquisition environments — someone who can hit the ground running, work collaboratively with existing management, and leave a lasting infrastructure behind them.

The Opportunity

Following a recent acquisition, the business requires an experienced interim to support the professionalisation of its finance function as part of a structured value creation programme. You will work directly alongside the existing management team to build robust financial foundations that support the business's ambitious growth agenda.

What You'll Be Doing

• Driving the finance transformation agenda across the business
• Building and improving financial reporting frameworks and management information
• Designing and implementing FP&A processes and forecasting capabilities
• Developing operational KPI frameworks aligned to the business's value creation plan
• Conducting a systems review and making recommendations for improvement
• Working collaboratively with the existing CFO and management team — this is a supporting role, not a replacement

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in PE-backed businesses at Head of Controlling, Head of Finance or equivalent level
• Hands-on finance transformation experience — you've built reporting structures and KPI frameworks from scratch
• Strong FP&A background with the ability to implement process improvements quickly
• A collaborative operator — you work with management teams, not over them
• Belgian market experience preferred; Dutch or French-speaking depending on asset location
• Available for interim/freelance engagements immediately or in the near term
