Functional Analyst

We are looking for a Functional Analyst for one of our clients based in Brussels.

What are your responsibilities?

• Translate business requirements into clear and structured functional specifications aligned with internal standards.
• Support the conversion of functional designs into technical solutions in close collaboration with development teams.
• Prepare and execute functional integration test cases based on defined requirements.
• Validate solutions before release to ensure quality and alignment with business expectations.
• Analyze issues and propose corrective actions or improvements.
• Coordinate with technical designers and developers during implementation phases.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
• Monitor and report progress to project leaders and management.
• Support project execution and contribute to successful delivery.

Who are we looking for?

• 2–5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst in a complex IT environment.
• Proven experience working closely with business stakeholders in large organizations.
• Background in non-life insurance underwriting is required.
• Solid understanding of multi-layered application architectures.

Nice to have:

• Experience in claims or document management.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and test management practices (e.g., TMAP).
• Understanding of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
• Structured, methodical, and proactive working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
• Client-focused mindset with a results-driven approach.
• Open-minded, adaptable, and quick to learn new domains or technologies.
