IT Business Analyst / Implementation Analyst
Duration: Initial 6 months (strong likelihood of extension) Workload: Full time hours
Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)
Location: Brussels (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Overview
We need an experienced ICT Business Analyst to support digital Gas Flow Management solutions across complex, regulated energy infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse complex business processes across gas transmission, storage and terminalling, translating them into clear functional requirements.
Work in an Agile product team to refine requirements into user stories, supporting sprint planning and delivery.
Model solutions using UML and BPMN, ensuring alignment with existing application architecture.
Support the full product lifecycle: workshops, functional design, testing, UAT, documentation and training.
Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to improve customer‑facing systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
Support production systems, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
Must‑Have Skills
Proven ICT / Business Analysis experience in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS).
Strong UML and BPMN modelling skills.
Experience with tools such as Confluence, Enterprise Architect, Jira or Azure DevOps.
Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills in English.
Nice‑to‑Have
Experience in energy, utilities, or other regulated industries.
Exposure to gas flow, logistics, or large‑scale infrastructure systems.
Knowledge of French or Dutch.
