We are currently supporting a leading client in the food & beverage industry in their search for a Freelance Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to support ongoing production and maintenance activities.

This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and can ensure high levels of equipment reliability and uptime.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance across production lines, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations. The role requires strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently within a regulated food production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively

• Work on PLC-controlled systems (fault finding, basic adjustments)

• Support continuous improvement and optimisation of production processes

• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and hygiene standards (food-grade environment)

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an electromechanical maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

• Experience within food & beverage or a highly regulated industry is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and PLC fault finding

• Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns

• Dutch-speaking (essential)

• Flexible and hands-on mindset

Contract Details:

• Freelance / Contract role

• Competitive hourly rate

• Shift work may be required depending on site
