Chief Accountant (Freelance) Charleroi | Long-term project | ⚡ Immediate impact | Competitive daily rate Are you an experienced Senior Accountant ready to take ownership in a dynamic, fast-evolving organization in the Ghent region? We are partnering with a growing and financially strong company looking for a freelance Chief Accountant to reinforce their finance team during a key transformation phase. This is not just a support role — you will be a true business partner and have direct impact on financial performance and reporting quality. As Senior Accountant, you will: Prepare and review VAT returns and tax declarations Manage balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis Support audits and act as key contact for external auditors Optimize accounting processes and internal controls Coach junior team members when needed Support finance transformation or ERP improvement projects 10+ years of accounting experience ~ Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP ~ Experience in complex environments (SME, scale-up or international group) ~ Fluent in Dutch, good command of English ~ Immediately available or available at short notice Why This Project is Attractive for Freelancers ✔ This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned freelancer who enjoys combining operational excellence with process improvement in a professional but agile environment.
