Role Context
The SharePoint Specialist is part of the Digital Workplace ecosystem, working closely with other M365 specialists. Together, these roles ensure a governed, scalable, and business‐oriented use of Microsoft 365 for collaboration, reporting, and automation.
The SharePoint Specialist ensures that SharePoint is a secure, well‐structured, and reliable foundation for content, data, and collaboration across the organization with a heavy focus on fulfilling user requests and responding to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer and configure SharePoint Online (site collections, hubs, permissions, sharing settings).
• Design and maintain information architecture (site structures, metadata, content types).
• Apply and enforce SharePoint and Microsoft 365 governance standards.
• Ensure secure collaboration and correct access management in alignment with IT security policies.
• Support business teams in using SharePoint as a collaboration and content platform.
• Collaborate with Power Platform Specialists to support controlled citizen development scenarios.
• Work with Power BI Specialists where SharePoint is used as a data or document source.
• Contribute to lifecycle management of SharePoint sites (creation, review, archiving, deletion).
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands‐on experience with SharePoint Online (modern experience).
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID).
• Experience with permissions, sharing models, and security concepts.
• Knowledge of information architecture and content governance.
• Experience working in an enterprise or regulated environment.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Experience with Power BI integration scenarios.
• Knowledge of records management, retention, and sensitivity labels.
• Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications.
Soft Skills

Language skills
• English is a must, and at least one from French and Dutch, ideally all three.
