Financial Controller

We are working on behalf of a trusted client who are seeking seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to oversee and strengthen our financial operations in West Flanders. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Provide accurate and timely financial insights to support management decisions
• Ensure compliance with Belgian GAAP and all applicable financial regulations
• Maintain and improve internal controls, financial systems, and processes
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and advisors
• Supervise and develop members of the finance team

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in finance or controlling
• Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
