Your role

As a Commercial Controller, your task and responsibility is to analyze, interpret, and report on business data in such a way that the monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Commercial and Marketing run smoothly. You discuss your analyses with colleagues from the commercial team, and decisions are made partly based on your calculations and reports. With your in-depth knowledge of the business, you participate in various business-economic projects and are involved in product innovations. Your contribution goes beyond controlling topics: you support and help grow the business through insights and data.

In this role, you will be fully integrated into the Dr. Oetker Belgium Finance team and you will report to the Business Controller.

What will you do?

• Act as an indispensable link between the commercial departments (Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing), Customer Service, and the Management Board of Dr. Oetker Belgium.
• Provide financial steering and advice on sales, promotional, and marketing activities through your data analyses, thereby contributing to the achievement of financial KPIs.
• Ensure the safeguarding of internal controls and advise on and implement improvements to operational processes.
• Proactively contribute to the analysis and interpretation of financial and economic business results and market data, taking a leading role in the development of business cases (including product launches).
• Support the Marketing and Sales departments in product innovation and renovation projects.
• Guide various financial changes in support of our supply chain.
• Be responsible for the planning and control cycle (including budgeting and forecasting), monitoring and steering relevant business KPIs, and initiating improvement actions.

What do you bring?

The candidate we are looking for has completed an academic degree in Business Economics or a related field, supplemented by a first relevant work experience as a Controller or Auditor in a dynamic environment—preferably FMCG—and is ready for the second step in his or her career.

Key requirements include:

• Fluent in Dutch and French + working knowledge in English;
• Good IT knowledge (MS Excel, SAP S4Hana and SAP BW – Anaplan and Vulki is a plus);
• Ability to collaborate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes;
• High level of curiosity and inter-personal skills, can challenge constructively;
• Ability to communicate with impact;
• Team player with a positive outlook.
• Extensive experience in understanding processes and cost structures.
• Experience with cost price and margin calculations.
• Analytical, accurate and persistent.
• Solution-oriented, proactive, and pragmatic.
