Freelance Opportunity – Mechanical Piping Designer / Engineer (Inventor + Point Clouds)

We're supporting a major industrial project in food processing and are urgently looking for 2–3 experienced Mechanical Piping Designers / Engineers to join a high-performing on-site team.

This is a fast-paced contract role (2–3 months initially, with strong extension potential) where you'll play a key role in delivering a complex gas extraction installation.

The Project

You'll be working on a large-scale industrial installation involving:

• Solvent-based processing systems
• Separation and recovery systems
• Integration of new equipment into existing infrastructure
• Detailed piping and ducting design within an active site

This project is already in the execution phase, with installation and dismantling underway—so immediate impact is critical.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and model piping & ducting systems using Autodesk Inventor
• Work with point cloud / 3D scan data to integrate designs into existing environments
• Collaborate closely with an on-site engineering team
• Deliver accurate, buildable designs to support installation

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Strong experience with Autodesk Inventor
• Hands-on experience working with point cloud / 3D scan data
• Background in piping and ducting design

Nice to have:

• Sheet metal design
• Autodesk Plant 3D
• Dutch language (English required)
