Presales Engineer BeNeLux
The position is an office-based position with regular (weekly) BeNeLux travel required.

Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for assisting the sales team with systems design, estimating and customer support.
This role owns the technical presale’s function, translating customer requirements into compliant, cost-effective security system designs and supporting the sales team through qualification, bid, and handover.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preliminary specifications review and qualify opportunities.
- Support the technical review of preliminary specifications and support opportunity qualification by assessing scope, feasibility, risks, and compliance.
- Utilise CAD and/or Bluebeam for systems design and client plans.
- Accurate estimation of materials and labour captured on Convergint pricing structure and documents.
- Take part in meetings and phone calls with clients as required by the commercial lead.
- Attend client meetings and calls alongside the sales team to provide technical clarification and presales support as required by the commercial lead.
- Carry out site surveys, safely and securely, to gain relevant site knowledge, requiring regular travel within BeNeLux.
- Work closely with purchasing, engineering and our technical resources to reduce any margin of error in the estimate throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain opportunity documents and prepare documents for pre-bid and sales to ops meetings.
- Lead pre-bid and sales-to-operations meetings by providing technical input, confirming scope assumptions,
- material requirements, and identifying potential project risks.
- Support the sales team by preparing technical responses for tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and client clarification questions.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for cost estimation, BOMs, pricing models, and presales documentation.
Secondary Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and promote the Company’s health and safety procedures as well as ensuring Provincial and local regulations are followed.
- Maintain supplier relationships through product training and meetings.
- Support the wider operations team during project delivery with design support if required.
- Directly cover sales colleagues in the event of short-term absence.
- Provide systems and technology guidance to clients.

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2022, Bluebeam or other security mark-up software (beneficial but training will also be provided on the job).
Education Requirements:
- GCSE Maths/English preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience in the physical electronic security industry or similar field.
- Experience in security design preferable.
- Clean driving license.
