Job description

As an experienced buyer, you are responsible, in consultation and collaboration with the

tender/construction team, for an optimal and timely procurement process. During the tender

and execution phases, you ensure the most economical price for services and resources, taking

into account planning, technology, risk management, and QHSES. You are in constant contact

with the tender and execution team.

• You can organize the purchases for a sub-area independently.

• You manage a small purchasing team.

• You will handle the procurement files, with involvement in the tender process and the

execution of strategy, requests for quotation, etc., up to the final drafting of the contract.

• You advise the project on purchasing.

• You will work in a multidisciplinary tender/project team (design, work preparation,

financial, legal …)

Responsibilities:

You report to the Head Buyer.

Powers:

You perform tasks independently and based on work instructions that allow room for your own

interpretation.

Job requirements

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering – or equivalent through experience.

• You have 5 years of relevant work experience as a buyer in civil construction on complex

projects.

• You are a Dutch speaker.

• You are organized: you are able to set priorities and meet deadlines. You possess the

necessary degree of independence, you are curious, analytical, meticulous, and resultsoriented.
