Senior UX Designer (12-Month Contract + Extension) Belgium | Long-Term Freelance Opportunity We’re supporting a major public sector organisation on the search for an experienced UX Designer to play a key role in designing intuitive, user-centred digital solutions. You’ll join a multidisciplinary product team working alongside Product Owners, Program Managers, Full-Stack Developers, Test Specialists and AI specialists, contributing to impactful digital products in a complex and innovative environment. As UX Designer, you’ll help shape and improve digital experiences by translating user needs into clear interaction models and scalable design solutions. Design user-friendly web and mobile experiences using established UX patterns and best practices Plan, conduct and analyse user testing to validate and improve solutions Collaborate within an established design function while contributing to broader design consistency Support the evolution and expansion of design systems Work closely with Product Owners and Developers to deliver both long-term concepts and sprint-based designs Contribute within agile delivery teams across large and complex environments Minimum 5 years’ experience as a UX Designer Strong background in user-centred and responsive design Proven experience designing digital products for web and mobile Experience designing content-led experiences Understanding of front-end implementation (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Dutch language proficiency ( CEFR C2) required French language skills are a strong plus Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision or similar Contract ~12-month freelance contract ~
