ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client an Senior System Administrator(F/M/X)

Context

The client is seeking an external Senior IT System Engineer to ensure operational continuity following the departure of an internal resource, while leading the modernization of the IT infrastructure. The mission combines RUN activities (support, maintenance, operations) and project delivery (upgrade, transformation, standardization).The entire environment is being refreshed, including network, server infrastructure, and endpoint management.

Objective

• Ensure stability, availability, and security of IT services.

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across infrastructure.

• Contribute to infrastructure transformation and modernization projects.

• Standardize and document IT practices.

• Support the transition to a modern, secure, and coherent IT environment.

Responsibilities

RUN–Support & Operations

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across infrastructure components.

• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents (network, servers, endpoints).

• Manage daily operations of:

o Active Directory / Azure AD

o Windows Server environments

o Virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V)

o Storage, backup, and monitoring systems

• Handle user requests and manage escalations when required.

• Ensure operational security, including patching, hardening, and compliance.

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Maintain and optimize network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).

• Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, VLANs, and firewalling.

• Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix.

Projects & Modernization

• Participate in or lead infrastructure transformation projects.

• Redesign and optimize network architecture.

• Upgrade server, storage, and backup environments.

• Migrate or optimize cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure).

• Redefine endpoint deployment and lifecycle management processes.

• Implement or improve application packaging via Intune.

• Contribute to defining the target architecture.

Workplace & Endpoint Management

• Manage modern workplace environments using Microsoft Intune.

• Implement policies, compliance rules, and Autopilot configurations.

• Ensure efficient endpoint lifecycle management.

Automation, Documentation & Standardization

• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell).

• Standardize infrastructure and operational processes.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation and procedures.

• Ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Profile

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure and workplace environments.

• Proven experience managing both RUN operations and infrastructure projects.

• Experience in infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives.
