Job Description: Senior Accountant (Freelance) Contract Type: Freelance / Interim Start Date: ASAP / To be agreed Duration: Long Term Work Model: Hybrid About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support an organisation on a freelance or interim basis . In this role, you will take ownership of the accounting function and ensure continuity, accuracy, and compliance during a period of transition, growth, or transformation. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can quickly integrate into a team, work autonomously, and deliver high-quality financial support. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting cycle from A to Z Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings Handle daily accounting activities including GL, AP, and AR Prepare and submit VAT declarations and other statutory filings Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations Review and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders where required Provide support to the Finance Manager or Head of Finance Identify and implement process improvements when relevant Profile Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role Strong hands-on knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable Solid understanding of VAT and local accounting standards Able to work independently in a freelance/interim environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Navision, Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo, etc.) Professional working proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus What We Offer Freelance/interim assignments with flexible working arrangements Exposure to diverse organisations and industries Collaborative working environment with direct impact Possibility of extension or long-term collaboration
