Functional Analyst

Nexeo Belgium is a consulting company supporting clients in the banking, finance, insurance, and public sectors throughout their transformation projects.

We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst – Data Quality & ALM to join a major banking client within the Finance & Reporting domain.

Mission Context

You will join the Accounting & Reporting Solutions team , part of the Finance department, responsible for managing and evolving financial systems and reporting tools.

The team plays a key role in ensuring high-quality Finance data, supporting regulatory and management reporting, and contributing to Group-wide initiatives.

As a Functional Analyst, you will focus on data quality controls and ALM reporting , ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve Data Quality Controls on ALM data
• Understand and document data flows from operational systems to ALM reporting tools
• Define and validate ALM data definitions and their usage in reporting
• Identify root causes of data anomalies and define remediation actions
• Write business requirements and collaborate with IT teams
• Define and follow up on implementation roadmaps and testing phases
• Coordinate and execute testing, ensuring alignment with expected results
• Contribute to dashboarding and KPI monitoring (Tableau)
• Document processes, solutions, and analysis
• Ensure clear communication with stakeholders (Finance, ALM, Data Managers)
• Participate in data quality communities and governance forums

Profile

Education

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management

Languages

• English – Fluent (written & spoken)
• French – Fluent (spoken)

Experience & Skills

Mandatory

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution
• Strong experience in Data Quality and ALM processes
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Access
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Business Objects, Cognos
• Experience with OFS (BNP Paribas accounting system)
• Background in banking accounting
