Product Designer

Business is growing, and we’re looking for a product designer to join our creative team in Antwerp. Your responsibilities would include:

• Interpretation of project briefings into functional 2D and 3D product designs
• Transformation of product designs into cost effective manufacturing specifications to be used in costing and mold making.
• Contribution to customer presentations, including oversight of model making.
• Participation in ‘blue sky’ product development and innovation
• Working to challenging deadlines
• Potentially traveling to attend customer presentations in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

We’re looking for someone with ambition, a high sense of responsibility and a team player. You like short lines of communication and have excellent communication skills. Furthermore you'll bring:

• A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Product or Industrial Design
• At least 5 years of relevant, full-time working experience
• A portfolio that reflects creativity and structured execution of ideas into designs
• Background in the interdisciplinary development of products, preferably in a design/engineering agency or similar innovation driven environment
• Experience working with engineers and/or manufacturing personnel to finalize product designs and specifications
• Expertise in 3d modeling and drafting (preferably Rhino3d and/or Autodesk Fusion 360), rendering (V-Ray and/or Keyshot), Adobe Creative Cloud and common Microsoft appications
• Strong visualization skills – sketching, rendering and prototyping
• Knowledge of current product design trends, including ecodesign
• Knowledge of plastics, paperboard, textiles and/or ceramics is a plus
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Ability to think and work independently
• Availability to work 40 hours per week and to travel internationally.
