Blackfield are proud to be supporting a client who are looking for an Process Architect (Early Design Engineer) to join their team. This role will focus on early-stage project development within Pharmaceutical and Biological manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for front-end engineering, process integration and facility layout.
As a Process Architect you will play a crucial role in shaping the conceptual and basic design phases of manufacturing facilities, ensuring process flow and equipment design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptual & basic design
- Translate process requirements into efficient and compliant facility layouts, flows and zoning plans
- Ensure Designs adhere regulatory standards
- Develop and review key deliverables such as URSs, PFD’s and P&IDs
- Feasibility assessments and capital investment planning
- Support design reviews, HAZOPs and risk assessments
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Process Engineering, chemical engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech facility design with an emphasis on early-stage or conceptual design
- Proficient in reviewing or producing PFD’s, P&IDs and facility zoning documents
- Proven track record supporting early-stage facility planning, conceptual design an engineering design (FEED)
- English and French is essential
