The project:

Our client in the utilities sector is looking for a .Net/GIS Developerto join their team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support for GIS solutions (Hexagon Networks and services, Oracle DB, APIs, etc.);
• Assisting in the resolution of production incidents and issues;
• Defining the technical design in collaboration with the key technical lead and analysts;
• Estimating the workload for the implementation of technical solutions;
• Configuring and developing user stories and bug fixes;
• Tracking and updating stories and bugs in Jira;
• Executing system and integration tests before delivery to the testing environment (TST);
• Preparing deployment deliverables;
• Performing post-deployment sanity checks in the production environment.

Is this you?

Technical skills:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in .Net development;
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases;
• Experience with Hexagon Networks products;
• Version control knowledge: TFS, Git, Azure DevOps;
• Deployment tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps;
• Agile methodology (Jira);
• Programming languages: .Net C#, JavaScript, (React), Docker, etc.;
• Understanding and application of SOLID design principles;
• Experience or knowledge of the Utilities sector is a plus.

Personal skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or IT-related field;
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a working knowledge of the other language; strong command of technical English is required;
• Strong team and results orientation;
• Excellent communication skills; you encourage dialogue within the team and with stakeholders;
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in your work;
• Efficient and flexible in carrying out tasks;
• Key qualities: flexibility, stress-resistance, analytical mindset, critical thinking, assertiveness, pragmatism, responsiveness, active listening, and a genuine interest in collaborative teamwork.
