System Engineer

For one of our clients in the media sector located in Brussels, we are currently looking for a freelance System Engineer.

What Your Job Will Be

1. Installation and management of IT systems:

• Participate in the installation, configuration, and management of IT and Broadcast TV/Radio/Web infrastructures.
• Perform system updates and maintenance.

2. On-call technical support (1st and 2nd level):

• Provide user support for infrastructure-related incidents.
• Use monitoring tools to anticipate and diagnose issues.
• Resolve problems by following ITIL incident and problem management processes, and document solutions in a ticketing system.
• Address system security issues.

3. Continuous improvement:

• Suggest improvements to existing systems and optimize broadcasting processes.
• Contribute to the development and modernization projects of technical infrastructures.

4. Documentation and training:

• Write technical guides and support documentation for broadcasting systems and technologies used.
• Train internal teams on the use of implemented tools and technologies.

What You Bring To The Team

• Technical degree (bachelor level or higher) or equivalent in professional experience.
• You have knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Azure AD, Microsoft Windows Server (knowledge of Linux is a plus), Networking (HP, Fortinet), Storage (Dell, Synology), IT infrastructure monitoring and ITIL incident and problem management.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve incidents in a complex environment.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools to supervise and maintain the infrastructure.
• Analytical and synthesis skills.
• Open-mindedness, rigor, methodology, results-oriented, and diplomatic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability and responsiveness to change.
• Ability to work under pressure, with autonomy and a strong service mindset.
• Fluent in French and English.
