Role: Lead .NET/Project Manager
Location: Ghent
Report to: Software Manager
A client of ours based in Ghent specialize in delivering innovative software, system solutions for new inhouse projects in the environmental sector. They are currently on the lookout for a new employee with a strong development (.NET) background who's willing to combine their technical expertise with the responsibilities of a Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating project teams, ensuring effective collaboration between developers, analysts, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining constructive relationships with customers, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Helping to gather and document business requirements and translating them into actionable technical tasks.
- Managing development activities, performing functional tests, and ensuring the final solution meets expectations and quality standards.
- Monitoring project scope, timing, and budget, identifying risks and proactively implementing solutions.
- Providing user coaching, training, and collecting feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Contributing to project quotations and participating from the early stages of new initiatives.
- Working primarily from the Ghent office, with regular visits to client sites.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in ICT, computer science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a .NET developer; experience as a project manager is an asset but not essential, we look at potential, drive, and a learning mindset.
- Familiarity with project methodologies and tools such as Prince2, Scrum, Agile, DevOps, and GitLab.
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (French or German is a plus).
- Analytical and conceptual thinker who quickly grasps complex issues and helps define clear solutions.
- Well-organized, result-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and autonomous — you make things happen.
