POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION
A GFO Design Engineer is a member of the GFO Post Sales Engineering Team of Johnson controls and reports to the GFO Team Lead Design Engineering.
OBJECTIVE
A GFO Design Engineer spends at least 85% of the available time on project-related work and the remaining 15% is needed for (self-) training to guarantee excellent professional knowledge.
A GFO Design Engineer ensures that the work will be executed at a high level of quality in accordance with the applicable procedures, standards and legal norms and requirements set out by Johnson Controls and/or the customer.
COMPLEXITY
A GFO Design Engineer is responsible for managing multiple projects at once, each differing in content, complexity, and scale. Their primary duty is to design, program/configure, and test high-quality technical designs and software. This ensures that project teams can execute their tasks swiftly and effectively. Consequently, a Design Engineer must possess extensive knowledge, efficient planning abilities, clear communication skills, and meticulous documentation practices. Given that the employees of the Post Sales Engineering teams are spread across several locations in various countries, English is most often the common working language.
