A leading global technology company undergoing exciting growth is seeking an experienced
European Finance Manager
to support its EMEA finance organisation. This senior role offers the opportunity to drive financial accuracy, strengthen compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and contribute to strategic regional initiatives.

Role Overview

The European Finance Manager will partner closely with the EMEA Controllership leadership team to deliver reliable financial oversight across the region. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, thrives in a fast-paced international environment, and demonstrates a continuous-improvement mindset. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, enhancing reporting processes, and supporting operations with high-quality financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for European entities in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analyses.
  • Support statutory audits and ensure compliance across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and/or review key management reports supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive improvements in reporting tools, systems, and processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership on financial reporting and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to group-level reporting, ensuring timely and accurate data submission.
  • Lead or support EMEA-wide finance projects aimed at shortening close cycles and optimising accounting operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing ad hoc financial insights and support.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment across European entities.
  • Participate in complex accounting and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Potentially lead a small team of accountants, including performance and development oversight.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, RA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience within a multinational environment.
  • Prior team management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing statutory audits across Europe.
  • Strong knowledge of European GAAP; US GAAP exposure beneficial.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience advantageous.
  • ERP experience required (Oracle preferred); HFM, Noetix, and BlackLine experience a plus.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages welcome.
