Senior HR Business Partner - Manufacturing Site

Full-time HR Leadership in a Key Production Environment

Be the People Partner Who Makes an Impact on the Ground

For a leading multinational company active in the food industry, we’re looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support one of its flagship production sites.

In this on-site role, you’ll partner closely with the plant leadership team and play a crucial role in strengthening employee engagement, leadership capability, and social dialogue. You’ll be the HR leader on site, trusted by both the management team and employees alike — someone who balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Furthermore you will analyze metrics at plant locations and identify sensitive matters.

Your responsibilities:

  • Partner with plant leadership to implement people strategies that improve performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Coach and support plant leaders in developing their leadership skills and managing teams effectively.
  • Be a visible, trusted HR presence for all employees — from production operators to white-collar professionals.
  • Lead or support employee relations, social dialogue, and interactions with local works councils, with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Actively contribute to the prevention and de-escalation of social tensions.
  • Lead the deployment of workforce planning, talent acquisition, learning & development, and other key people initiatives on site.
  • Ensure smooth execution of complex operational HR processes such as time and attendance, benefits, and compliance.
  • Leverage HR reports and dashboards to measure, manage, and analyze people and business performance metrics at the plant.
  • Communicate and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion policies in a way that fits the plant environment.
  • Manage day-to-day employee grievances and support on-site audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with regional HR colleagues and contribute to both local and international HR projects.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, psychology, labor law, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labor law and industrial relations; hands-on experience with works councils is essential.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence operational and leadership stakeholders.
  • Empathic yet assertive — able to adapt communication to a wide range of audiences.
  • Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.

You are a great fit when:

  • You have a strong and stable presence — able to gain trust quickly and maintain it.
  • You possess additional HR certifications (coaching, training, change).
  • You are skilled at building bridges and resolving tensions while staying solution-oriented.
  • You are passionate about being on the floor, engaging with people at every level.
  • You are ready to take ownership and act as the face of HR at the site.
  • You are excited to contribute to broader HR projects and share insights from the plant perspective.
  • You have experience in a multinational company with a matrix organization.

What’s in It for You

  • A strategic, standalone HR role where you will truly make a difference.
  • A direct seat at the leadership table of a key manufacturing site.
  • Opportunities to contribute to international HR programs and grow your network.
  • A supportive regional HR team with cross-border collaboration.
